I am contacting you on behalf of the Queen Mary University of London Equality group.

We host a lot of events throughout the year and wanted to start this year off with discussing the issues closest to our hearts and also to get everyone discussing equality and feminism.
Our first event will be a talk and discussion based around the question ‘What is Feminism?’
I am emailing to see if any of you would like to come and speak, presenting you answer to this question? If not you, do you know anyone who would be interesting in speaking at such an event?

It really bothers me that people still try to attribute what is so obviously a result of socialization to biology, as if even that can justify the patriarchal and misogynistic values that continue to govern our society. I should’ve stopped reading that article after the mention of this supposed “innate, genetic component that explains why some men seem unable to stop themselves behaving badly.” Your commentary, though, was spot on.
